Abstract

742,028. Cartridges for explosively-operated tools. DYNAMIT - AKT. - GES. VORM. A. NOBLE & CO. Aug. 27, 1953 [Aug. 27. 1952], No. 23745/53. Class 9(1) Cartridge cases containing a propellant for driving studs and bolts into structures are closed at the forwardend by a cup-shaped member which acts as a gas-check in the firing device. The cup may be erect or inverted and may be secured by turning the end of the cartridge case over the cup as in Figs. 3 and 4. The powder may be compressed or a pellet of compressed powder may be placed in the mouth of the case over the charge.
