In a process for flame cutting metals, adjuvant powder, e.g. iron, is fed to the cutting zone by a combustible carrier gas, e.g. hydrogen, coal gas, producer gas, water gas or coke oven gas different from the fuel gas which is supplied with oxygen to the cutting zone. Specification 673,894 is referred to.
