Abstract
<PICT:0725955/IV (a)/1> In a process wherein freshly spun artificial-silk threads are conducted through an after-treatment bath between rollers 1 and 2, the threads being axially displaced thereon from each other, a flank wall 4, projecting from the surface of the bath, is arranged on each side of the group of threads and close to the outer travelling threads to prevent transverse movement of the threads in their passage through the bath. The two flank walls may be joined by a base-plate passing underneath the threads. The walls 4 may also be shaped to fit more closely up against the rollers 1 and 2.
