Abstract
702,528. Heating water; supply arrangements for hot-water boilers. STOTT & CO. [ENGINEERS), Ltd., J. Sept. 28, 1951 [Sept. 15. 1950], No. 22735/50. Class 64(1) In apparatus for preparing infusions of tea, coffee &c. a heat-exchanger located in the steam and water space of. a steam boiler 10 is connected to an infuser 21 or infusers and to a cold water supply conduit controlled by means, e.g. a . valve 17, responsive to air pressure in the boiler. The heat-exchanger comprises pairs of tubes 11, 12 interconnected by a tube 19. The steam boiler comprises a copper shell 10 and vertical flue tubes 14 leading to a central flue 15. The gas supply to burners 13 is controlled by a valve 23 actuated by an element responsive to steam pressure in the boiler. The boiler may alternatively be electrically heated. According to the Provisional Specification there are two separate heat-exchangers each comprising upper and lower headers connected by vertical tubes.
