Class 39(iii) A water-cooled high frequency inductor includes a conductive portion and an associated cooling duct, the duct being of insulating material or provided with barriers, spaced along its length, preventing current flow along parts remote from the conductive portion. A conductor 10, Fig. 2, is secured to a cooling duct 11 of insulating material. The inductor of Fig. 4 comprises a conductive tube 13, provided at intervals along its length with barriers of insulating material 14, which are perforated at 15 to allow the passage of cooling water. The barriers 16 of Fig. 5 are of metal, which confine the current flow to the part 13. Specification 669,350 is referred to.
