Class 82(ii) The grid of a jig is movable as a whole about a horizontal, transverse axis so that it may be adjusted in a horizontal position or in positions inclined on either side of the horizontal, and a movable member is provided to overlap and render inoperative a portion of the area of the grid to modify its working area. In Fig. 1, the grid 3 is supported on a shaft 11 connected through lever 12 and threaded rod 13 to the hand wheel 14 whereby its inclination may be varied; the working area is adjusted by means of the sliding plate 16 and plate 15 operated by the screw 19. In this form, an adjustable weir 3a is provided and a partition 44 having an extensible upper portion 47 and movable lower portion 49 'separates the jig box into spaces having obturating members 49, 49a and separate liquid supply ducts 43, 51: Other forms with modified'discharge means are described. A series of jigs may be arranged along a trough singly or concentrating pans may deliver to a trough along which groups of jigs are arranged.
