Abstract
690,257. Grinding,crushing &c. ADAMOLI. G., and CALABI, A. May 31, 1951, No. 12839/51. Class 59 In a mill, grinding and refining machine and the like, an inner roll or cone 2 in contact with a hollow roll or cone 1 is mounted on bearings 6 which allow it to be displaced vertically, the bearings being displaceable in forks 5, and the forks, or bearings, each being connected by a rod 7 to a slide 8 which allows a horizontal motion. The hollow roll is positively driven and the inner roll is driven by contact with the hollow roll. The horizontal and vertical movements combine to produce a pendulum motion, the inner roll returning to its starting position after each displacement therefrom by virtue of its own weight assisted, if desired, by a return spring system.
