Adjustment means for the release position of shoes of internal drum brakes comprises a cup-shaped cam member k mounted by means of spindle l, spring m and abutment n so as to be pressed against the flat base of a depression h dished out of the back-plate a. The cam k, which may have a serrated periphery, engages a tongue pierced and cranked out of the shoe web c. The end of the spindle l is squared as at p for an adjusting key.
