Abstract
660,069. Hot cross buns. SIMMONS, F. D. Feb. 15, 1950 [Nov. 22, 1949], No. 29793/49. Drawings to Specification. Class 28 (i). Edible crosses made from starch or rice paper &c. are used for hot cross buns or other flour confectionery. The cross is softened by moistening and stuck on the buns and baked or stuck on previously baked buns. The cross may be cut or stamped out in one piece. During baking the cross merges into the skin of the bun without appearing to have been added to the bun.
