[Class 74 (ii)] In the stocking blank or other fabric of the parent Specification, each group of overlapped loops consists of loops from two adjacent wales. A narrowing-point 20 transfers the outermost loop a from needle 10 to needle 11 (line B, Fig. 6) ; an additional point 21 is then brought into action by a one-needle idle inward movement of the narrowing comb (line C); the loops on what are now the outermost two needles 11, 12 are transferred one needle inwardly by a oneneedle active inward movement of the narrowing comb (line D); a further idle inward oneneedle movement of the narrowing comb brings into action a third point 22 (line E); and so on, producing the course 25, Fig. 13, through which course 26 is drawn.
