Abstract

656,427. Cable terminals. ALLEN, E. H. Jan. 6, 1949, No. 400. [Class 38 (i)] To produce a strong connection between a terminal and a concentric cable 2 inserted therein, the cable core is bared at 3 and has a tubular rolled ferrule 4, provided with an unrolled portion 5, placed over the insulating cable covering, and the bared portion 3 is bent back so as to overlie the rolled portion, the unrolled portion then being rolled over the bent-back portion, which is thus gripped between the ferrule and its portion 5. The assembly is then inserted in a screw-terminal 6 and the screw 7 tightened on it.
