[Class 80(ii)] [Also in Group XVI] A box-wheel for adjusting a printing- roller circumferentially relatively to its driving spur a, Fig. 2, comprises means for rotating a worm wheel a<SP>1</SP> mounted in bearings a on the spur A and meshing with a worm wheel b secured to the spindle of the printing-roller. The worm a<SP>1</SP> is fitted with a pair of helical gears a<SP>2</SP> engaged by spiral teeth c, Fig. 5, secured to the casing C of a differential gear comprising two planet pinions d carried by a yoke ring D, keyed to the printing-roller spindle and engaged by sun pinions c<SP>1</SP>, c<SP>2</SP> secured to the casing C and to a similar casing C<SP>1</SP> respectively. By braking or locking either of the casings C, C<SP>1</SP> the worm a<SP>1</SP> is driven by the engagement of the helical gears a<SP>2</SP> with the teeth c, and the printing-roller is moved circumferentially in a direction depending upon which casing C, C<SP>1</SP> is braked or locked. The locking-device may comprise two hooked levers e, e<SP>1</SP> Fig. 7, (not shown), which can be operated by cords from a distance and one only is made to engage a notch in the casing C or C<SP>1</SP>.
