Abstract
644,373. Mechanical switches without quick-action. BURDEKIN, D. March 29, 1947, No. 8584. [Class 38(v)] [Also in Group XXXVIII] In a direction and signal indicator for motor vehicles (see Group XXXVIII) a four-way multi-pole rotary switch consists of a rotatable insulating disc J having six concentric conducting rings K1-6 on one face (Fig. 3) and contacts connected thereto on the reverse in the form of a strip P (Fig. 4). The supply is fed to the rings on the front face by means of the fixed contact bar H (Fig. 3), and by rotating the disc J the rear contacts P can be registered with any one of four sets of mutually perpendicular fixed corresponding contacts as in Fig. 5 (not shown).
