Abstract

633,347. Cylinders. PETIT G. Sept. 6, 1946, No. 26877. Convention date, June 21. [Class 7 (ii)] The cylinder compression-ratio is adjusted by a supplementary piston 8 which is connected to a further piston 13 subject to constant hydraulic pressure produced by a pump 16. The pressure is adjusted by a spring-pressed relief valve 20, and a valve 21 operated by a diaphragm 24 subject to induction pipe suction, in the return pipes 18, 19, to the pump.
