Abstract
632,639. Hollow metal pillars and members. BRUSH ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and RAYER, F. H. Dec. 13, 1945, No. 33733. [Classes 20(i) and 20 (ii) ] [Also in Group XXXII] In a structural member or pillar, primarily for vehicle bodies, having spaced flanges 2, 5 connected by bowed webs 3, at least one of the spaced flanges 2 consists of two outwardly directed flange members 4 integral with the bowed webs 3 and a further member 2 having a plane face in contact with members 4 and inturned marginal parts 6 that lap around the members 4 and are located against the inner face of the latter. The webs 3 may be bowed' inwards or outwards or of cruciform section as in the prior Specification 597,257. Specification 337,977, [Class 20(iv)], also is referred to.
