[Class 39(iii)] [Also in Group XXXVI] A Wheatstone bridge for temperature measurement in connection with cooking ranges has the instrument 18 built into the back panel. The temperaturesensitive resistance is contained in a probe having a handle 21 and an eye 22 for hanging up when not in use. The probe may be sharp so that it can be jabbed into meat 31. The probe has a flexible lead connected to a plug 24 which can be inserted into either of two sockets 25, 26 in the oven and on the back of the range. The socket 26 on the back of the range has a resilient switch to keep the circuit closed when the plug is removed the plug having an insulated projection for opening this switch.
