[Class 145(ii)] In cavity boards or panels comprising facing sheets 8 of wood or plywood separated by a reinforcing structure, the latter comprises tablets 6 of wood, plywood or composite board placed on edge between and secured to the facing sheets and arranged in a series of zig-zag rows each row being spaced so that the apices 7 formed by adjoining tablets lie inside the angles formed by the tablets of adjacent rows. In the alternative construction shown in Fig. 6, the tablets of adjacent rows are partially juxtaposed as at 9 with opposed surfaces in abutting engagement to form a cellular structure. A frame formed by members 5 preferably rabbetted to receive the facing sheets 8, encloses the reinforcing structure.
