Abstract

621,245. Teats for feeding-bottles. LEADER, S. A. Feb. 10, 1947, No. 3872. [Class 125(i)] A feeding teat of a polyvinyl chloride composition has a wall of varying thickness having alternate thick and thin longitudinal sections 1 and 2 and longitudinally extending, reinforcing ribs 3, 4 and 5 thereon of thickness proportional to that of the adjacent part of the wall. The skirt is upturned to form a portion 6 fitting within the neck 7 of the bottle, the outer portion being turned down to embrace the outside of the neck. An internal bead of cross-section tapering inwards to form a knife edge, engages beneath the lip 8 of the neck. The nipple 10 may have a wall of the same thickness as that of the thinnest part of the teat and has four radial openings 11.
