[Class 20(ii)] Supports for metallic shuttering for casting walls in situ comprise a double row of posts 1, 1', Fig. 4, braced by rods 6, 7 slidable thereon, one row of posts 1 being supported on a rail 2, Fig. 5, secured to the ground by cleats, the other row of posts 1<SP>1</SP> being supported on feet 5 caried on tie bars 24 secured to the rail 2; sleeves 13, Fig. 4, slidably mounted on the posts 1, 1<SP>1</SP> carry arms 11, 12 supporting shuttering panels 10 and brackets 33, Fig. 3, for supporting scaffolding are also slidably mounted on the posts 1, 1<SP>1</SP>. The two-part sleeves 13, Fig. 4, allow lateral adjustment of the arms 11, 12 to vary the spacing between the panels 10 which have peripheral edges provided with a series of holes engaged by the ends of the arms 11, 12, the holes also permitting the joining of adjacent panels. Cross ties 35, Fig. 3, to which the brackets 33 are anchored pass through holes in the posts 1, 1<SP>1</SP> and in the panels 10 and serve to anchor the posts firmly together. The ties 35 and the tie bars 24 are removed after setting of the concrete. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 refers to the use of additional panels to form a central core for cavity walls. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
