Abstract

598,336. Divided pictures. BATTERSHILL, N. J. Sept. 1, 1945, No. 22538. [Class 93] Pictures are produced on glass or other transparent material by dividing the picture into four or more planes which are located on the front or back respectively of a plurality of sheets of the material. The sheets of glass may be mounted or slotted on a base or bases and the representation of the portion of the picture may be produced by printing, painting or adhesively attaching to the glass. Foregrounds are attached to the lower parts of the front sheet(s) and backgrounds to the top parts of the back sheet(s). The glass may be plain or tinted and the assembly may be suspended as one unit or boxed as a diorama. The Figure represents an assembly of two sheets A and E presenting four surfaces a', a<2>, e<1>, e<2> on which portions C, D, F and G of the picture appear. Specifications 168,680, [Class 93], and 561,812 are referred to.
