Abstract
594,212. Belt and rope gearing. DEAN, SMITH, & GRACE, Ltd., PRIDGEON, H., and BINNS, A. June 29, 1945, No. 16593. (Class 80(i)] A pulley constructed to facilitate the positioning of the driving belt or rope comprises a pulley 3 with an eccentric bore for mounting upon an eccentric bush 2 secured to the shaft 1. For normal driving purposes the pulley 3 is locked in a position concentric with shaft 1 by a spring-pressed plunger 6 but for removal or replacement of the belt the pulley can be rotated on unlocking the plunger 6 to decrease the belt distance.
