Abstract
An artificial stone composition comprises Portland cement, an aggregate, and titanium dioxide. The cement and titanium oxide are preferably first mixed with water and the aggregate, such as ground Derbyshire spar, quartz, granite, sand, and/or limestone, is incorporated, the mixture being moulded in a mould on a vibrating table. If desired, a backing of aggregate of larger size and cementitious material may be applied. An indurating-substance such as sodium silicate, can be incorporated or the surface of the moulded article can be washed with a solution thereof.
