[Class 145 (ii)] A power-driven saw bench is constructed with a number of circular saws 1 axiallyadjustable on a shaft 2, and adjacent each saw is a relatively narrow table 4 carried on side members of the frame 3 so as to be adjustable axially of the shaft 2. The work is prevented from rising by adjustable presser bars 5 arranged at each side of a saw 1 and provided with a plurality of spring-loaded shoes or plungers 7. The work is fed by means of slides 8 carried between the tables, or by automatic means.
