565,264. Lighting domestic fires. WELCH, S. V. July 6, 1943, No. 10931. [Class 126] In a domestic firegrate 1 formed with a well 3 to receive liquid fuel for igniting the main fuel, the oil is fed to the wall through an open channel 4 cast in one with the grate and having a lip 5 at the outer end. The well 3 is formed with a vertical partition 7 gapped at 8 so as to provide inter-communicating narrow channels which can be readily cleared of ash by means of an ordinary poker.
