564,809. Hatch covers. ANDREWS, A. N. G. Jan. 15, 1943, No. 794. [Class 113 (i)] A hatch cover comprises a plurality of slidable sections 10-12 of progressively reduced size adapted to telescope together when the hatch is opened, and in the closed position the joint between the centre sections 10 is covered by a separate cover piece 13 and secured by locking bars and padlocks. Weathertightness is maintained by interfitting channel and angle members 16 ... 23 on adjacent parts of the sections, and hinged flaps 23A on the sections may fit closely against the adjacent sections. The sections 10, 11 may carry wheels 26, 29 to run on angle members 25, 28 carried by the coaming 7, whilst the section 12 may have angle members 30 to run on the angle members 28.
