Abstract

562,073. Engine cylinders ; pistons. AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS CO., Ltd., and HARRISS, J. H. Feb. 11, 1943, No. 2314. [Class 122 (i)] A fluid pressure jack, e.g. foi operating aircraft undercarriages, bomb doors, &c., comprises a tube 10 having an end closure plug 24 secured to the tube by radial dowels 28 and a fluid supply connection 38 passing radially through the tube into the plug. The dowels are retained by a band 32 having a boss 36 to which the connection 38 is screwed . or bolted. Lugs 25 or a diametral pin or bolt &c. are carried by the closure member for anchorage purposes. The piston 13 is secured to its tubular rod 16 by a diametral pin 17.
