556,794. "On and Off" castors. HOSKINS, & SEWELL, Ltd., and HOSKINS, H. R. Sept. 4, 1942, No. 12525. [Class 52 (i)] A toggle system having a pin and slot arrangement is employed to raise and lower a frame h carrying one or more castors m at the foot of a bedstead &c. having feet b<1>. A hand or foot lever n is pivoted by a short slot o on a pin p fixed in the bedstead frame a a link q connects the end of the lever with the movable frame h below the pivot p, and a shorter link s connects the lever above the pivot p with the fixed frame. A stop r on the lever n limits the throw of the lever by abutment with the link q. The slidable frame includes nembers slidable in tubes i, f, g of the fixed frame, and a spring t in the tube maintains the parts in the raised and lowered positions.
