[Class 39 (iii)] An injection moulding machine comprises a cylinder a receiving an intermittent supply of thermo-plastic material, piston b, and nozzle c. Two heating coils f, g are arranged around the cylinder and a third h around the nozzle-c. All are connected in parallel with a supply i, and each is in series with an adjustable resistance k. Each resistance is associated with a short-circuiting switch m whereby initial heating may be expedited, and a thermal. switch o is provided to open the circuit at a predetermined temperature. The switch o may be actuated by expansible liquid in a tube coiled around the cylinder or nozzle.
