545,024. Collapsable boxes; HUGHES, S. S., and McCARTHY, H. J. T. Jan. 24, 1941, No. 971. [Class 18] A collapsable box of fabricated board asbestos, paper pulp, plywood &c. comprising four sides and top and bottom has L-section strips 5 dis posed along some of the edges form ing grooves 7 into which the edge of other panels enter, the structure being held erect by an encircling binding. In one form four strip are arranged on the bottom and on the top and two on each of two sides the ends being free of strips. Ad hesive tape may be positioned on some of the edges. The L-section strips may be of metal, fibre or moulded phenol formaldehyde product.
