Abstract
543,620. Acidproof cements. LIMMER & TRINIDAD LAKE ASPHALT CO., Ltd., and BROOME, D. C. Sept. 9, 1940, Nos. 14021/40 and 11476/41. [Class 70] Acidproof cements suitable for lining tanks &c. and consisting of silica powder, calcium or aluminium silicate or ground barytes, sodium silicate, a setting accelerator or hardening agent such as sodium silicofluoride or sodium borofluoride, is mixed with rubber latex or a bitumen emulsion to confer elastic or flexible properties. The cement mixture may contain also ground glass and may include a reinforcement such as asbestos fibre or wire mesh.
