Abstract

540,273. Induction coils. CRABTREE & CO., Ltd., J. A., and McLOUGHLIN, H. F. June 27, 1940, No. 10942. [Class 38 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXVII] An induction coil, the secondary winding of which may be used for electrically charging wires for preventing animals &c, from straying, has a core consisting of a central limb c on which the coils are wound, a side limb d forming an unbroken iron circuit with the central limb and a side limb f broken at e to form a gap opposite which is disposed the armature l of the interrupter. The core is composed of two E-shaped laminated members placed with their limbs directed towards each other and touching excepting for the gap e. The armature operates an interruptery device as in Specification 540,274, [Group XXXVII].
