Abstract

534,301. Handle-bars. LECHMERE, W. F., and JAMES CYCLE CO., Ltd. Nov. 10, 1939, No. 29847. [Class 136 (iii)] The handle-bar 1 is surrounded by four rubber blocks 8a which line the inside of two clamp halves 2, 3, the half 2 being secured to the stem and the half 3 being secured to 2 by bolts 4. Fig. 4 is not a perspective view. Fig. 5 is an elevation of Fig. 4 from the right. A member 14 brazed on the handle-bar and engaging the surfaces 12 of the rubber blocks so as to force them apart and into engagement with beads 8 on the clamp halves 2, 3, prevents rotation of the blocks.
