[Class 119] A box-magazine for firearms has spring lips 2 at. least one of which is out away at 7 to provide access for the thumb of the user, so that the follower 6 may be depressed, the gap 7 being located approximately in the transverse plane in which lies the centre of pressure of the magazine spring on the follower. Tendency of the follower to tilt during depression is thereby eliminated.
