497,629. Grinding. PFAUTER, M. March 24,1938, No. 9089. [Class 60] [Also in Group XXII] A horizontal rotary table for a grinding machine, centred by means of co-operating surfaces 5, 6 on the table and support respectively, is provided with means for relieving the pressure between the table and support, comprising an annular surface 10, separate and spaced from the centring surfaces, to which pressure fluid is directed. A projecting portion 8 on the table extends into a channelshaped ring 9 to which pressure fluid, preferably oil, is directed through the passage 11 from a pump 21. Alternatively two pairs of corresponding annular grooves may be provided on the table and on the supporting surfaces of the slide 2 to which pressure fluid is directed.
