Abstract

492,101. Securing reflectors or globes to holders. KAVANAGH, L. R., and BENJAMIN ELECTRIC, Ltd. March 11, 1937, No. 7158. [Class 75 (ii)] In an overhead electric lamp having a main reflector or globe 14 and a supplementary reflector 13 arranged to reduce substantially the transmission of heat and light to the neck portion 10 and of the kind, for example, described in Specification 411,127, the reflector 13 is secured to the neck 10 and is formed with a downturned flange 13b having equally spaced projections 13c which co-operate with similarly spaced projections 15 on the main reflector to support the latter when it is inserted from below into the neck 10 and given a partial rotation to bring the projections into engagement. A stop may be provided to limit the rotation and the two parts are held in the engaged position by a screw 19 which takes into one of a series of depressions 20 in the upper end of the reflector 14.
