492,069. Sparking-plugs. AC-SPHINX SPARKING PLUG CO., Ltd., and CORBIN, D. H. June 2, 1937, No. 15345. [Class 7 (iv)] An insulator 2 of refractory material, such as alumina, is conically seated within a part 7 of the casing made of material of low or negligible coefficient of expansion, such as a nickel-cobalt-steel alloy. A thin coating 9 of soft metal, such as copper or silver, may be interposed. A spring 3, secured to the central electrode, is attached also to the external lead. The upper part 6 of the shell may be formed of mild steel or bronze, and is lined by mica 8 and a further insulator 5.
