Abstract

480,696. Hair curling appliances. HUPPERT, W. Aug. 25, 1936, No. 23343. Convention date, May 26. [Class 131] A hair-curler comprises a flexible tube 10, e.g. of rubber, a number of flexible wire arms 13, 14, 15 disposed within the bore of the tube and extending outwardly therefrom and a clasp 16 binding the wire arms together, the clasp being fastened to the tube. The wire is preferably covered and may be in a single or in separate lengths. The clasp 16 is secured to the tube by a rivet or'eyelet passing through an eye 17 and through one of the ventilating perforation in the tube. The loop 15 which is longer than the other two is bent across to hold the end of the hair, and when the hair has been completely wound, the loops 13, 14 are bent over to secure the curler in position. In a modification, the loop 15 projects through a slot in the tube.
