Abstract

476,849. Refrigerating. THOMAS, G. June 22, 1936, No. 9283 /37. Convention date, June 21, 1935. Divided out of 469,280. [Class 29] - Evaporators.-An evaporator for a refrigerator cabinet comprises a header 1 cast integrally with an ice tray carrier 30, having intercommunicating refrigerant ducts 31, and also, if desired, with a refrigerant vapour outlet tube 6. The mouth 9 of the tube is bevelled and disposed with its lower edge at about the normal level of the lubricant floating on the refrigerant. The evaporator may be formed of a corrosion and acid-proof light metal alloy. The Specification, as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also an evaporator consisting of an horizontal cylindrical drum having a vapour outlet tube of U-form, the end of the leg within the drum being bevelled. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
