Abstract

474,494. Lock - nuts. STEINHORST, W. Sept. 30, 1936, No. 26547. [Class 89 (i)] A lock-nut is formed by a plate having resilient tongues l, which engage the thread of the bolt, and lugs f, bent inwards from the edge of the plate, which also engage the thread. The edges of the lugs f have a helical twist of a different pitch from the thread. The rim of the plate is up-set to form flanges so that the lugs jam in the thread.
