Abstract

449,635. Windscreen-cleaners. WARD, M. V., 186A, Tottenham Court Road, London. April 1, 1935, No. 10077. [Classes 19 and 138 (i)] A windscreen - cleaner blade comprises a metal support adapted to receive one or more rubber or other wiping strips, and a supplementary cord or tube of rubber or the like on each side of the wiping strip or strips, between the edge of the support and the front edge of the strip. In the construction shown, a pair of rubber strips is clamped in a holder 1, which is provided on each side with a wire 4 extending through a tubular member 3. The holder 1 is loosely connected to a pivot pin 7 provided on a connector 6 to which the arm 5 is clamped, the holder being adapted to tilt during the operation of the wiper. According to the Provisional Specification the supplementary members may be cemented to the main wiper or moulded therewith.
