Abstract
445,331. Heating by electric induction. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.-GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. Oct. 14, 1935, No. 28349. Convention date, Jan. 5. [Class 39 (iii)] In an inductively heated steam boiler having the primary winding 9 of the heating transformer arranged in a tube 6 extending through the water space 4 of the boiler, the tube 6 is formed of metal and constitutes part of the secondary circuit of the transformer. The boiler walls normally form the remainder of the secondary circuit. The coil 9 is wound on the limb 7 of an iron yoke 8 that surrounds the boiler. The yokes 8 used in connection with successive heating tubes 6 may be connected together to form a common yoke embracing the entire length of the boiler.
