Abstract
443,367. Colour kinematography. RASEK, E., 76, Mariahilferstrasse, Vienna. Aug. 20, 1934, No. 23970. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Feb. 19, 1935.] [Classes 97 (i) and 98 (ii)] Colour kinematograph negative films are produced by exposing a panchromatic film through colour filters transmitting wide bands of the spectrum so that all the negatives produced will be substantially uniform as regards density while each negative produced exhibits in black-and-white all the differently coloured details of the object photographed. The colour filter may comprise an endless band travelling with the film through the camera gate, and coloured successively redbrown, green, and blue-violet over areas the same size as the individual frames. An additional light yellow-green filter, which may travel with the film through the gate or may be fixed in the gate, may be employed, or the film or the exposure colour filter may be dyed light yellow green. A mixture of naphthol yellow, and cyanine may be used to produce the light yellow-green colour. A positive film produced by printing from the negative film is projected through a projection colour filter similar to the exposure colour filter and coloured red, light blue, and yellow-orange. The positives may also be projected in black-and-white. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 453/08, 11791/08, [both in Class 97], 21261/11 and 23499/11, [both in Class 97 (i)].
