[Classes 39 (ii), 75 (ii), and 75 (iv)] A light projector, particularly applicable for use as a vehicle lamp, comprises a linear light source L, a rear reflector 3 having the form of a surface generated by rotating about the light source as axis a parabolic or other non-circular meridian, and parallel reflecting blades 4 arranged in front of the light source so as to control the angle of the projected beam. The meridian curve may be symmetrical or asymmetrical according to the light distribution required. The front face 8<a>, Fig. 4, of a spherical electric lamp bulb may be silvered to project some of the forwardly directed rays back on to the rear reflector. In a modification, the rear reflector is formed by silvering the rear surface of a suitably shaped electric lamp bulb. Specification 404,540 is referred to.
