Abstract

[Class 38 (v)] [See also Group XXXVIII] A switch for controlling the successive illumination of lamps arranged in a row comprises a rotatable drum, having conducting and insulating segments, which is driven by a spring wound by movement of a control handle in either direction. As shown in the Figure when the handle is moved, say to the right, the piston p is depressed and spring s compressed. When the handle is released the segment 27 is driven back to normal by the spring and the pinion 24 rotates the drum 23 until the handle is again central. Specification 387,787 is referred to.
