Addition to 402,244. [Class 59] In a ball-and-ring mill in which a floating intermediate driving ring 15 rotates between upper and lower rows of balls 13, 14, 21, the weight on the lower row of balls 21 is adjusted by means of springs 40 fulcrumed at 45 on the driving yoke 32 and bearing against an adjustable bar 42 on the yoke and against the underside of the ring 15. Helical springs may replace the springs 40, the springs being adjusted by means of washers. Specification 396,614 is referred to.
