Abstract

417,109. Holders for surgical cotton rolls &c. JOHNSON & JOHNSON (GT. BRITAIN), Ltd., Slough, Buckinghamshire.- (Johnson & Johnson; New Brunswick, New Jersey, U.S.A.) May 25, 1934, No. 15697. [Classes 18 and 94 (i).] Rolled strip goods such as hospital dressings are enclosed in a carton 5, the cover 8 of which forms at three sides a butt joint with the carton, a slot 10 at the fourth side of the cover being closed by a flap 12 on the carton. The flap 12 is sealed by a strip 16 which also covers the butt joint between the carton and cover. Alternatively, or in addition, the flap may be held in closed position by a label 17. Withdrawal of the strip through the slot 10 is restrained by the pressure of the roll 6 upon the floor of the carton.
