401,383. Disinfecting. WALKER, Ltd., W. & F. and FREESTONE, J. T., Colonial House, Water Street, Liverpool. May 31,1932, No. 15442. [Class 81 (i).] Apparatus for sanitizing and for perfuming the air of rooms or enclosed spaces comprises a container for solid sub-divided disinfectant, such as p-dichlorbenzenecrystals, having a perforate part 11, for example of gauze, for exposing the solid to the normal air currents within the room, located below an imperforate storage chamber 12 so that the area of disinfectant exposed remains substantially constant. Bracket means for suspending from a wall, for example, are provided. The base is formed by a tray 13 secured, together with the part 12, to a bracket strip 15. A removable lid 14 is provided. The gauze 11 may extend to the top of the container and be soldered to the part 12 which may have an inspection window. In a modification, the part 12 and tray 13 are formed from a single sheet of metal such as aluminium and are connected by narrow vertical spokes. An attaching screw may be secured to the part 12. Specification 386,185 is referred to. According to the Provisional Specification, a plurality of perforate chambers having air spaces between them may be provided.
