Abstract

401,160. Yarns &c. SOKAL, S., 1. Great James Street, Bedford Row, London, -(Kalle & Co. Akt.-Ges. ; 23, Rheinstrasse, Biebrich, Wiesbaden, Germany.) Feb. 27, 1933, No. 5979. [Class 120 (iii).] Threads having special lightreflecting properties comprise a small proportion of artificial fibres having sharp edges. The edged artificial fibre may consist of cellulose hydrate, cellulose esters or ethers, resinous or caoutchouclike substances, or fibroin. The edged fibres may be made by casting, cutting, pressing or rolling, but preferably by cutting superimposed foils of transparent, opaque or coloured cellulose hydrate, giving for example a fibre having a rectangular cross section of À07 X À02 mms.
