Abstract
399,393. Valve amplifying circuits. ARDENNE, M. VON, 19, Jungfernstieg, Lichterfelde-Ost, Berlin. May 2, 1932, No. 6185/33. Convention date, May 2, 1931. Divided on 393,741. [Class 40 (v).] A light - sensitive cell 2 coupled to an amplifier 3 is connected to an inductance 8 so as to form an oscillatory circuit; in which oscillations are set up and modulated by the cell. The oscillations may be generated by a reaction coil 10 or by passing the incident light through a Kerr cell subjected to an alternating potential of the natural frequency of the oscillatory circuit, Fig. 2 (not shown). The cell and inductance are in parallel in the grid circuit of the amplifying valve and are connected to the grid through a condenser 11. The same voltage source is used for the cell and for the anode of the valve. The inductance has an irregularly distributed self capacity or may consist of different coils in series.
