384,202. Chain tumblers. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP GEMEENSCHAPPELIJKE MIJNBOUWMAATSCHAPPIJ BILLITON, 21, Prinsessegracht, The Hague. June 4, 1932, No. 15803. Convention date, July 30, 1931. [Class 80 (i).] A tumbler for the chains of dredgers, excavators, elevators &c. comprises a pair of endplates 15 which are secured to a shaft 14 and in which are pivotally mounted, on axes parallel to the shaft axis, bars 9 having plane surfaces 20 adapted to engage the chain links and central extensions 11 forming teeth. The bars are free to rotate, against the restraint of spring discs 17, so as to adapt themselves to the chain, and may be interconnected by rods. Alternatively, the bars may be adapted to be locked in adjusted positions.
